KROQ Invasion

KROQ 106.7 in L.A. will be putting on a pretty decent show on September 15 at the Home Depot Center.

The Inland Invasion will feature The Smashing Pumpkins, Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver, Kid Rock, Chris Cornell, Satellite Party, Cypress Hill, Hot Hot Heat, Against Me! and Paramore.
Tickets are very reasonably priced at $35, $65 and $85. What a deal.
If I lived in the L.A. area I would be at this show in a flash. Seriously, The Pumpkins, Foos, VR, Cornell and Satellite Party in one day, it’s too good to be true. Sure, you may have to put up with Kid …read more

“The Pretender” is the first single leaked from the Foos upcoming 6th album Echoes, Silence, Patience, and Grace, which comes out September 25. The track was leaked last week and has been floating around since.
“The Pretender” starts off a bit slow, maybe even a bit like a Beatles song, before punching you in the face with the heavy Foo sound that we all love. It even sounds like CCR during the break, which is fine by me. Anyways, the song is good enough to …read more

Foo Fighters – The Colour and the Shape (10th Anniversary Edition)

Foo Fighters – The Colour and the Shape (10th Anniversary Edition)

The Colour and and the Shape is considered the band’s best album and it’s hard to disprove them. The first Foo Fighters album as a band (Dave Grohl did everything on the debut) unleashed the hits “Everlong”,”My Hero”, “Monkey Wrench” and “Walking After You”. “Everlong” has become a classic, and is still a fan favorite as a concert closer, not to mention the …read more

FYI: Foo Fighters

FYI: Foo Fighters

Seems like a good time to throw some Foo, since Dave Grohl and company are touring a bit this summer, recording a new album and releasing a 10th Anniversary edition of The Colour and the Shape on July 10.

Dave Grohl founded the band 6 months after Nirvana Kurt Cobain had committed suicide, however, Dave had been working on future Foo Fighters material while still in Nirvana.
In fact in 1992, Dave’s demos were released as a tape entitled Pocketwatch under the pseudonym Late!; including the songs “Color Pictures of a Marigold” (which Nirvana would record and rename “Marigold” and use as …read more
