Vineland Music Festival

Vineland Music Festival

South Jersey is buzzing with the huge announcement of the Vineland Music Festival.
Word on the street was that Philly was going to get it’s own festival; but the city didn’t pass it, so Vineland received the honor instead.
The three day event will take place on August 8-10, 2008 and will be brought to us by Festival Republic (who puts on the legendary Leeds and Reading Festivals) and C3 (who do Lollapalooza and the Austin City Limits Festival). Needless to say, we’re in good company.
I can’t wait to see the line up, but I’m betting that it will be a good one. …read more

Radiohead Planning To Tour Next Year

Radiohead Planning To Tour Next Year

Radiohead’s manager, Bryce Edge, recently told Billboard that the band is planning a world tour next year.
The band plans to kick off touring in May and will probably run through the rest of 2008. However, Edge went on to state that frontman Thom Yorke isn’t that fond of touring. Bryce stated: “He likes to do shows, but the whole business of schlepping round the world is not top of his favourite things to do,” he said. “It’s the process of how to do that which is the pain in the neck. They’re not road dogs. They never have been”.

He’s currently wrapping up some dates in the Western parts of the U.S. and Canada before heading to Australia and then returning to the States…again! I think my man needs a well deserved rest soon.
Speaking of Australia, you should check out the Oz Music Scene for all of your land down under needs.
